Welcome to Oakland Farm & Lodge

Oakland Farm & Lodge is a small (very small) incorporated company that is owned and operated by Scott Rynax. Spurred on by necessity, in the form of job loss in 1995 due to being downsized, the idea for a charming rustic cedar log lodge started to take shape in his mind. Picturing a beautiful log cabin surrounded by a well kept lawn with lots of trees right in the middle of the family’s 130 acre century farm, he set to work. His background in the construction business came in handy as he built the lodge pretty much singlehandedly. A lovely pond was dug close to the lodge, a couple of picnic tables were added and a windmill was erected next to the pond. It became a peaceful country oasis tucked away on the family farm a mere 5 minutes away from hotels and shopping.

Over close to two decades of operation, the lodge has become a very popular venue for weddings, showers, Christmas parties, barbeques, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, business meetings – you get the picture...
